Extremely dry skin and winter always go hand in hand.
Finding the right lotion, or sometimes any lotion to combat the dryness is another story completely. Recently Vaseline released it’s newest formula, Intensive Rescue Clinical Therapy body lotion to deal with and heal even the driest skin.
Vaseline decided to start their Prescribe the Nation campaign featuring Clinical Therapy in Alaska because it is known for such extreme weather conditions.
They began by giving it to one resident in Kodiak, Alaska and allowing her to “prescribe” it to anyone she desired. Within a short time, over 600 residents in Kodiak were using it. Be sure to visit www.PrescribetheNation.com to find out what happened!
Vaseline’s new Clinical Therapy lotion is clinically proven to be 60% more moisturizing than a prescription lotion. It is a prescription strength moisturizer that is available without a prescription, so people can “prescribe” it to themselves and others.
This lotion is available nationwide at most retail locations, so if you are dealing with extremely dry skin and have had a difficult time finding a solution, then maybe you should take up the Prescribe the Nation challenge and prescribe this lotion for yourself, your family and your friends to find out if it works for you.
And for some giveaway fun, Vaseline has generously offered gift baskets ($100 value each) for 2 lucky commenters. These baskets include Vaseline Clinical Strength lotion, Godiva chocolate, a Kona Coffee Gift basket, Kiehl’s hair products and a $25 Target gift card.

It’s so dry in my house the only thing staying moisturized are the plants growing in water and I’m not too sure about them. LOL The humidifier just can’t keep up. Could really use this for my hands with all the cold weather.

I would love to try the Vaseline Clinical Therapy lotion. I spend the winter making myself drink plenty of water every day, using lotion every day (in the summer, too), and being very careful to use a non-soap cleanser in the shower. Its a battle every winter since I know at some point, I will have the dry skin that actually hurts despite all my ministrations. And, that’s the condition I have right now as we are now getting frigid cold weather.

Im a 47 y/o woman who had 2 major spinal reconstructive surgeries in June of ’08. Since then I have had a very hard time maintaining skin health. At first I couldn’t lotion at all and now my skin is so dry that I cant get it into shape. The fact that Im unemployeed, lost everything and live with my daughter now, who provides for me, I dont have any money to indulge myself into the little luxuries that a women requires. I dont ask my daughter for any extras, I just do without. I have always been a woman who takes great pride in myself, this whole experience has aged me, made me feel like less than a woman,and depreesed me, making me feel very bad about myself. My whole family love the Vaseline Clinical Therapy Lotion. It is the one lotion that really moisturizes our skin and lasts. We live on a farm and are outside a lot with the animals as well as skiing and playing hockey. The cold winter really dries out our hands and this lotion does the trick.

I have really dry skin, especially this time of year, so I’d love to try this lotion. The Godiva I would keep for myself. Well, maybe I’d share it with my hubby. WOW! you have a lot of entries for this one, what could I do to be picked from all of these submissions…… here goes : I live in Ohio where we have cold waether and dry skin in the winter and where there are a lot of Target Stores, I just happen to love both Chocolate and Coffee (I have even been know to mix the two) and I have hair that just so happens to need washed today. I would highly recommend this lotion. I have used it on the exzema I have on my hands and it calms the redness.I am not saying it’s a cure for exzema-but it helps it.
Also when my husband got his tattoo done-he was told to use this lotion everyday on the tatty for a short time.So he did,and he liked this lotion too.Just awesome lotion!!!
