Okay, I must be living under a rock, because I have loved Gwen Stefani since No Doubt released Tragic Kingdom in 1995, and I had no idea that she had an adorable fragrance collection called Harajuku Lovers.
When we were contacted about the new Harajuku Snow Bunnies Gift Set for winter, I was immediately drawn in by how cute the bottle tops are. They are little dolls. Isn’t that darling???
Gwen and the 4 Japanese backup dancers she had during her solo tour, Maya Chino (“Love”), Jenifer Kita (“Angel”), Rino Nakasone-Razalan (“Music”) and Mayuko Kitayama (“Baby”), are represented in this eyecatching fragrance collection.
Each girl has her own personality with an outfit and fragrance to match.
G is the Leader of the Pack! Always ready to spot the next big trend, G wears a red and white vintage gingham jacket layered over a fluffy Alice blue argyle sweater with a second hand plaid school girl skirt from an all girls Prep School in Okinawa. G leaves a mark with delicious notes of fresh coconut, jasmine, and cotton woods.
Love is Pretty in Pink! Buttoned up in bows and frills, Love hits the snowy streets of Harajuku in shades of pink that match her cold rosy cheeks. Her hair is done up in bobby pins inspired by the Decora Girls in Tokyo while sporting a candy-sweet coral pink peacoat with oversized pearl buttons. Baby pink gloves keep her warm when her love is not nearby. Hers is a sensual floral scent with hints of pink pomelo, rose, and Creamy Vanilla Orchid.
Lil’ Angel is Cute and Coy! She wears a cute and cozy grey and gold sweater with the signature HL heart logo – which was knitted by her favorite grandma in Kyoto! A sweet polka dot miniskirt with girly gold ribbons tops bright red opaque tights and warm buckle boots. Perfect for Lil’ Angel as she cozies up to a roaring fire with a stack of the most fashionable magazines! She has a fruity floral scent highlighted with pineapple, candied violet and lollipop accord.
Music is Mischievous and Playful! Creating a style all her own, Music shops the chilly streets of Harajuku in a second hand, color blocked puffy jacket that she accessorizes with a cashmere gold scarf and bright red mittens. Her sheer white sundress with a multicolor embroidered hem is stylishly worn over baggy sugar cane jeans (to remind her that warmer weather is on its way). Living up to her name, Baby’s fragrance is a powdery musk with white rose, orange flower and white musk.
