Spice up your workout with Daisy Fuentes Pilates for the Wii™

It’s about that time of year again. Time when the weather turns colder and most of our activities are forced inside, and that includes exercise. So, how do you keep up with your exercise routines when the weather keeps you inside?

With two small kids in the house I just don’t find the time to make it to the gym. Instead I’ve historically turned to exercise DVDs to get my workout. The problems I’ve found with the DVDs though is that I never know if I’m quite doing the exercise right, I can easily slack off on the exercise, and I get bored with the same lo’ routine. This is especially true when I’m doing pilates or yoga.

My exercise life was actually revolutionized when I received the Wii™ and accompanying Wii Balance Board™. It is amazing how it can tell when I’m slacking off!!! And, since I’m always looking to change-up my exercise routine, I was very excited when I got the chance to try-out Daisy Fuentes Pilates for the Wii.

How does Daisy Fuentes Pilates differ from the other pilates ‘games’ for the Wii™? I’m not sure because I haven’t tried a ton of pilates ‘games’ yet. I do know that I really liked this one though!!!

Daisy Fuentes Pilates takes you to a tropical island where you can choose different settings for your workout. Do your Hundred by the pool or your Double Leg Circles out on the yacht. You can either choose to do the workout located at that location or customize your workout to your own liking.

When you logon to the game you can choose to do your workout as a registered guest (where you enter your specific stats) or as a visitor. The registered guest option allows you to track, save, and review your progress as you complete each workout. How is your progress measured? The game uses a Timing Bar to gauge how in sync you are with Daisy’s timing. The simple Green/Yellow/Red light system indicates how well you are doing.

What makes a pilates ‘game’ a winner for me? The details! I love that I am able to change my difficulty level and either do single workouts or create a customized workout set in Daisy Fuentes Pilates. And the instructor is actually Daisy Fuentes. Ok, a computer generated version of Daisy, but it’s her and you get to decide which outfit she’s wearing, as well as hear diet and pilates tips from her!

Overall I found Daisy Fuentes Pilates for the Wii™ a challenging workout that was kept fresh with it’s customizable scenes and exercises.

Daisy Fuentes Pilates was released for the Wii™ this summer and although it is compatible with the Wii Balance Board™ it is not required to do the workouts! All you need is the Wii gaming system and you’re on your way to a more tone, more fit, more Daisy body!!! You can watch a video preview of the game here.

We want to spice up your workout with a chance to win your own Daisy Fuentes Pilates for the Wii™. To enter simply leave a comment on this post. Maybe share with us one of your winter workout struggles! Enter by Friday, October 30 and the winner will be announced on Saturday, October 31st.

My exercise struggle during the winter is to stay motivated to walk when it’s cold outside and I’d rather stay in.

My work out struggles are not limited to winter! I just have a hard time exercising during any season! Winter is too cold, summer is too hot, and because I don’t exercise in summer or winter, it’s hard to get into it in the spring or fall!

My winter workout struggle is to find something to do at home. I can’t be outside because it is too cold. I often don’t want to go to the club because I don’t want to leave my boys in the kids club that is always crawling with coughing kids.

My struggle during the winter is keeping healthy when exercising at the gym. I seem to pick up illnesses easily even though I’m obsessive about keeping my hands clean. With the h1n1 flu and other stuff going around, I don’t want to bring anything home that can impact my child’s health. I LOVE the Wii and so having a variety of workouts to do at home is the best solution to avoiding gym-induced illnesses!

I don’t have a WII yet, but this might inspire me. When my husband and I used to do Pilates, we both had a strong core and looked thinner. But the class has been canceled and we both look much thicker around the middle. This looks like a terrific option!

My workout struggle is the motivation to get out of the house to exercise. I recently moved across the country and have no family or friends near me, where before I always was out and about would walk the track with friends ect…I dont have that anymore. This would be somthing myself and children could benefit from.

Sometimes all I GET is “warmup exercises”, when it comes to arguing with the rugrats about whose turn it is “Right Now!”. I’m impressed by the Wii Fit package itself — although I have to watch the youngest one because he tends to do the Island run by sitting down while shaking the remote (de’feeting’ the purpose) to get the onscreen “jog”. This would be an extremely welcome addition to the exercise options around here — Thanks!!

I have a hard time getting motivated to exercise. My kids wear me out and exercise seems to be the last thing I want to do in my free time. This game looks fun though, maybe it’s just what I need.

I usually walk but I must admit that lately I haven’t been very good about it. Also, have used the fittv channel for cardio and weight training. It’s a very good station, but our cable company no longer carries it. Not sure why. We have a Wii but no fitness games yet. Nice to see in a giveaway. I hope I’m not to late to enter. :)

    INTERNAL MEMO
    OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENCY
    ECONOMIC INVESTIGATION INTELLEGENCE ON CONTRACT
    RE-VIEW/RECOVERY 2005/2006
    7 MAN PANE

    Attn: Sir, 8/12/2009

    Sir,

This panel was commissioned by the former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo and newly handed over and inforced by the new President MUSA YARADUWA to review, investigate and to supervise all foreign outstanding depts and to make sure that this new approved (Eight billion five hundred million dollars) $ 8.500,000,000, been payment for this final quarter both old and new depts will go directly to its purposes.

CONGRATULATIONS: You are one of the lucky contractors that the sum of $ 10, 000,000 (Ten million dollars), has been approved out of your contract sum for payment now. But during our investigation and reviewing, we discovered two major reasons why your money has not been paid since the execution of this contract.

    1. We discovered a file of one Mr. DAVID MARK from London, trying to divert your fund to his own personal account. So during our investigation/interrogation he was claiming to be the new beneficiary of the contract fund, proving that you authorized him to change your account number to his own company’s name. “CONFIRM HIS STATEMENT”

    2. We discovered that most of your document is not signed by your Nigerian representatives why? Furthermore, the members of this seven man panel has agreed to help you out, hence it has come to this final stage. Our conditions: (1) 5 % for members of the panel after you might have collected your fund ($ 10,000 000)
    (2) keep this secret for the security of the panel.

(3)pls our systems affected with virus that was why we have not contacted you since then.
Meanwhile, payment has started in our payment centers now, for those who has been clarified and confirmed okay from our office. And again this panel will help you for recovery, if there is any illegal payment which you made. Finally if we did not hear from you after seven days of this notice, nobody should be held responsible.

And we have three methods of payments, for fast and urgent payment,:
    (1) we are paying through DEPTS VISA ATM CARD.
    (2) We can aswell pay you through DRAFT.
3,We pay cash to our customers, if demanded.

And this can only takes 7working days. but it will cost you little money.
