VSP — And Tommy Bahama Sunglasses!

Win a pair of Tommy Bahama sunglasses and learn how to keep your eyes healthy in the VSP® Vision Care See Much More Giveaway

Nearly 80% of what a child learns is obtained visually, and yet 1 in 4 children have undetected vision problems. Did you know that almost two-thirds of children under the age of six have never had an eye exam by an eye doctor? In fact, millions of people have uncorrected vision problems: from near- or far-sightedness to sight-threatening diseases. That’s why everyone should get an annual eye exam, starting at six-months-old. It’s as important as regular trips to the dentist.

Just how important is eyecare to your family’s overall wellness? I strongly encourage you to check out SeeMuchMore.com to get the scoop. There you’ll find loads of great information about how valuable your vision is in all aspects of your life – personally, professionally, and physically – as well as tips for maintaining healthy eyes, videos, and fun games and apps.

To bring your attention to the importance of eyesight and overall vision health, VSP® Vision Care, the nation’s largest not-for-profit vision benefits and services company, has partnered with us to give away 2 pairs of Tommy Bahama sunglasses. The winner can choose any pair listed!

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

I was able to use the VSP insurance to visit a local doctor here in my area. The doctor and his staff were terrific, and they repeatedly said that as healthcare professionals they loved dealing with VSP. They said that it was by far the easiest insurance to file. They also told me that the coverage and the prescription coverage was better than most as well. My sister-in-law has used VSP for a while, and she told me that her optometrist ‘s office.

If you don’t have vision insurance, I highly recommend that you check out the plans offered by VSP® Vision Care.

Entering the giveaway is easy – just name something you learned from SeeMuchMore.com, in the comments below. We’ll randomly select two U.S. winners from those who enter.

And don’t forget – you can get extra entries in our giveaways… If you already subscribe to our newsletter and/or our RSS feed and/or have our button on your site, you qualify for additional entries. Also, if you tweet or spread the word via facebook, your blog, etc., just leave additional comments letting us know and you will have additional entries. You may get one extra entry for each of these items. Your comments are your entries. Please see our site’s Terms and Conditions of Use for a complete list of our contest and giveaway rules.

This giveaway is open to US shipping addresses and will close on Friday, October 9th. Our winners will be announced on Saturday, October 10th.

  209. Eileen
    October 3, 2009 | 8:16 pm

I used to work in eye care and there were SO many kids who came in VERY late with amblyopia (eye turns) or problems with school due to vision problems. It was so sad because parents often “overlook” their children’s eye health. Many doctors just don’t give them the right information or believe THEY would know if a problem exists. Most eye tests at doctor offices are VERY inadequate. Seeing well is not the ONLY thing tested while seeing an eyecare specialist. It is SO important to get tested early! We are lucky that our family has good eye health…all six of my beautiful, bright eyed kids!
I would LOVE to be wearing a pair of Tommy Bahama shades!!! So hot and SO cool! (Remember also, UV light is said to cause early cataracts…so protects those peepers people!!!)

Most workplace injuries occur where safety eyewear isn’t required, or left up to the individual to decide if they’ll wear it. Many of those injured on the job didn’t think they needed to wear protective gear, or were wearing eyewear that didn’t provide adequate protection.
