I’ve never been a coffee drinker. I often want to be a coffee drinker but I’m just not. Instead, I’m a tea drinker!
Recently I had the opportunity to try out some fabulous tea from Tazo Tea. I took along the Tazo Iced Green Tea with me camping over Labor Day weekend and enjoyed sipping on the refreshing iced tea sweetened with agave sweetner while the kids napped! Relaxing!!!
In the mornings, while everyone else was drinking their coffee, I alternated between the Tazo Organic Vanilla Rooibos Tea Latte and Tazo’s “Cucumber White” white tea. In the evenings I went with Tazo’s caffeine free Organic Spicy Ginger tea.
Tazo offers some of the most uniquely flavored teas, as they literally search the world for the very best ingredients.
The Tazo line includes Black Teas, Green Teas, and Herbal Infusions. And, no matter which way you like your tea, Tazo will have something for you — full leaf, filterbag, tea lattes, and even bottled juiced and iced teas. My favorite thing about Tazo tea is that you can get tea in both caffeinated and caffeine free! And they are so affordable!!!
That seems like a lot of tea information, especially if haven’t started drinking tea yet or you’re a tea-novice. No worries! Tazo’s website offers an array of information on the different types of teas, the different ways to buy your tea, and even breaks down the ingredients in each of their teas.
Tazo also sorts their teas based on certain characteristics of the tea. If you are looking for a rejuvenating tea you might want to try Awake black tea in full leaf or filterbag or maybe Sweet Cinnamon Spice herbal infusion. All of the Tazo tea that I tried were wonderful. My favorites were definitely the Cucumber White and the Iced Green Tea.
One of the best parts about Tazo teas is that they are widely available at such places like Whole Foods, Target, Publix, and other various retailers. And, if you’re heading out to meet some friends for mommy-time, you can enjoy a cup of Tazo tea at your neighborhood Starbucks or Seattle’s Best Coffee cafes in the US and Candada!

TAZO teas are great
My first memory of Tazo Tea was a Starbucks one. A good friend of mine got me my first vente Tazo Chi Lattee. (iced or hot, both are yummy) mmmmm….with a splash of vanilla thrown in.
This past year has been financially tough for us. I did not want to give up my lattes, so I went about with my friends to create a version at home.
Here’s what you have to do to make enough for about two cups:
-Get a great black tea, such as Tazo black tea (3 tea bags)
-3 cups of water
-1 cup milk (low fat or soy- if you are using soy be careful not to boil)
-2 tbs. sugar (honey or sugar subsititue) to taste
-throw in a dash of vanilla, even better use some real vanilla bean
-dash of cinnamon
-dash of nutmeg
-dash of coriander
Simmer together for 10-15 minutes.
You will have to play with the recipe to make it your own. But it will be worth it. I have found that my two best friends are coming around more often to share tea with me, and we save a ton on money each week.
