I remember the very first time I saw Bedknobs & Broomsticks. I was home, sick with the chickenpox, and my grandma let me have a picnic lunch in the living room while I watched three children, an apprentice witch, and a conman travel to magical lands on a bed! I had never been so excited to be “sick”!!!
Now, with the release of the fully restored and remastered Enchanted Musical Edition on September 8, I can share the music, magic and fun of Bedknobs and Broomsticks with my girls!!!
If you’ve never seen Walt Disney’s Bedknkobs & Broomsticks it is the story of three children, Charlie, Carrie, and Paul, who, after being moved to a small village during World War II, are placed in the home of Miss Price (played by the lovable Angela Lansbury). When the children discover that their new host is an apprentice witch, they set out on a magical journey with conman Professor Browne to the animated Isle of Naboombu to find a powerful spell that will save their beloved England.

I saw this movie at the Court Theater which is no longer standing. It was an old theater in the town where I lived and I was enchanted with the movie a a child!
this is one of my favorite movies of all time.
My brothers and I watched it over and over and now my kids are watching the same VHS we watched!

This has been one of my favorite childhood movies since I was a little kid! I remember going to FYE two years ago when we were stationed at Fort Hood, Tx and asking a person who worked there (she MIGHT have been 18) if they had this movie, and she asked me if it was an “adult film”! I looked at her as if she was insane and walked off.
