Li’L Inspirations and Lots of Love

Did you have a blanket or stuffed animal that you were attached to as a child? I had a stuffed rabbit that I carried around with me everywhere. I remember even as a teenager I kept it on a shelf in my closet, because I couldn’t bear to part with it.

I love watching my 16-month-old son snuggle with his new lovey, the Happy Monkey Security Blanket from Li’l Inspirations.

Made from minky and satin, it’s perfect to lay his head against, while resting in his crib. It’s so soft, I even catch myself sometimes rubbing it up against my face. It must be so comforting for him.

The blanket measures 23″ x 20″, making it larger than similar products you can find in stores – that seem to be the size of a folded handkerchief.

The security blanket can also be personalized with the child’s first name, making it such a darling baby shower gift.

There are four adorable Personalized Baby Blankets to choose from. There’s the Happy Monkey, Blue Puppy, Sleepy Lamb and Pink Puppy. My husband actually uses the nickname, “monkey”, every now and then with our 16-month-old, so I just had to choose the Monkey blanket to review. I also had his name embroidered onto it, which truly is such a nice touch.

I was sent the Gift Set, which included a small monkey rattle with velcro closure. The rattle can attach to his blanket or stroller. I can also secure it around his ankle. Since my son is chewing on most everything these days, I love that both the rattle and the monkey on his blanket, have embroidered facial features.

The Personalized Security Baby Blanket Gift Set truly is unique. What a great keepsake for the mom-to-be or child in your life. We have one gift set, retail value $26.95, to give away to one lucky reader.

You will have your choice of the happy monkey, blue puppy, pink puppy or sleepy lamb. Your blanket can be personalized and there are several fonts and thread colors to choose from. Your blanket gift set will also come with a detachable rattle.

To enter, please leave a comment below. In your comment, feel free to share about the blanket or stuffed animal that you were attached to as a child.

I still have my bunny (“Bun Bun”) and my blankie from when I was little. I thought maybe my daughter would grow attached to it, but now seeing how fragile both items are, I know she needs her OWN item to love as much as I loved Bun Bun and my blankie! I love this item!!

Those blankets are adorable! Thanks for hosting the giveaway. When I was little I was attached to a teddy bear named “Big Bear”. He stayed on my bed while I was at pre-school and then he went everywhere with me throughout the day.

Recently found out that we are expecting our fourth. I would love to win the Sleepy Lamb set in anticipation of our new little one. I was never attached to any blankets as a child, but all three of our children are. In fact, my four year old is the most attached to his blankie. Our 2 year old carries around a blanket, bunny and a pillow, but doesn’t require them to function. Our 1 year old has bear snuggies that are silky on one side and minky on the other. She is adorable with them!

I was attached to my blanket until 5the grade when my father had enough of it (it was tied together and ratty from all the breaks) that he and my sisters played tug of war with it and broke it into little parts. I cried for days until my grandma salvaged one little bit, backed it with a silky lining, and gave it to me. I still have it.

I had a Shirley Temple doll when I was little. Loved her! One day we were fishing and I fell asleep, everybody packed up to leave and left my doll on the river bank. We went back to find it and it was gone. :(

I would love to win the Sleepy Lamb for my new great-nephew. It’s almost as cute as he is! I don’t remember having a favorite stuffed toy but there was an old baby blanket I use to hang onto and sleep with. It was a hand-me-down, so it was pretty “used” by the time I got it, but I loved it:)

If I was attached to one, there were no tales about it, but each one of my own children (3 older and now one baby) have had their own faves, and I’ve saved them in their baby boxes. This would be just the thing to introduce to the baby to see if it becomes worthy of his own baby box. Thank you.

that sounds terrible. that must have been very tramatic. i feel so bad for you. who cares how long a child holds onto a special item – it’s obviously need for some reason and when the time is right, the child will be ready to let go and put it away for safe keeping.

As a child, I had “Blankie” and my brother had “Bruttney,” because he couldn’t pronouce “Blankie.” Always accompanying Blankie was my stuffed animal, a white bunny with a heart on it’s chest. The day that I got him, I noticed there was a hole in his leg. Upon showing my mom, she said, “We’ll have to return it.” Oh no, NOT my new bunny! I had to show her this was not an option. I simply put my finger in the hole and made the heart go “Thump, thump…Thump, thump.” After that, my bunny was known as “Thumper.”

Would love to have a new blanket and stuffed animal, in one, that my child could carry around!

    Thank you for the submission!
