Date nights! Oh, those lovely date nights. Do you get enough of them? Because I know that I sure don’t.
When my husband and I do get a night out on the town, for dinner and a movie, P.F. Chang’s is one of the restaurants at the top of my list. Their lettuce wraps are delightfully delicious, and most of the items on their menu leave my mouth watering.
But, as a mom of three little ones, date nights are few and far between.
Thanks to a new addition at P.F. Chang’s, however, the hubby and I may be able to visit more often. If you love P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and have children, you are going to LOVE THIS!!
P.F. Chang’s recently introduced a new kids menu. Each meal is priced under $5.00 and includes a kid-sized drink in a take home cup. I love take-home cups!
Your child can choose from :
- Kid’s Chicken served with honey or sweet and sour dipping sauce
- Kid’s Lo Mein
- Kid’s Chicken Fried Rice
- Baby Buddha’s Feast, a feast of steamed or stir-fried veggies.
Each item uses the same fresh, high-quality ingredients featured on the regular menu. And, yes, the menu includes coloring pages, games, activities, and crayons, to keep your child occupied.
P.F. Chang’s was very kind in sending my family a $50.00 gift card, so that we could try out the new Kids menu. My daughter is quite the picky eater, but after a couple of bites, she was raving about her Kid’s chicken with honey dipping sauce.
My two younger boys shared the Kid’s Chicken Fried Rice. They seemed pleased with their dinner option, but made quite the mess. My apologies to our server and busser.
On a quick side note, for guests with intolerance to gluten, P.F. Chang’s also offers a Gluten Free Menu. I have several friends who are on a gluten free diet and I know the difficulties they have with dining out. Kudos to P.F. Chang’s for providing special items just for them.

I LOVE PF Changs. I was first introduce to PF Changs while on a business trip in Dayton, OH. Until recently the closest PF Changs to where i live was about a 2 – 2 1/2 hour drive. A few months ago a new PF Changs opened about 45 minutes away and I would love to take my Mom and Lil Man. I’m sure they would love it as much as I do.

What a great family outing this would be, especially with their new kid’s menu.
P. F. Chang’s is my family’s first choice when we dine out. We go to the one in Palo Alto in the Stanford Shopping Center. Although the appearance of the dining room and bar is impressively upscale the prices are easily affordable by the working family.

I have tried to eat at P.F. Changs on 3 separate occasions and at two different locations and the wait is always an hour long. The food must be good. I will get there one of these days.
We love PF Chang’s –my favorite is the crispy honey chicken or shrimp, my husband loves the Mongolian beef. We love the idea of sharing appetizers, entrees and desserts.

P.F. Chang’s is a wonderful restaurant. The food is delicious – and the atmosphere is classy, clean, and upscale.
I agree with you that the lettuce wraps are top-notch. And the other menu items are mouthwatering too.
I’m happy to know about the kid’s menu. In fact, now that I know about it, I’ll be much more likely to choose the restaurant when we eat out. The “dipping sauce” pick is brilliant (does any kid NOT like to dip?) – and the take-home cup is a nice touch too.
I’d love it if the restaurant would offer complimentary baby plates as well (Claim Jumper offers this amenity and we go there often because of it). Essentially, a plate is served for babies (birth-age 2) that includes a variety of finger foods. At Claim Jumper, the plate has applesauce, cheese cubes, a slice of turkey, and crackers. At P.F. Chang’s, the plate could have green beans, an egg roll, and lo mein noodles (or something like that).

With three kids we also don’t get many nights out – unless you count take-out. And our restaurant selection is with a different perspective as well. But with a kids menu now being offered at a very reasonable price at P.F. Changs… count us in!

I had never heard of PF Chang’s until I was visiting my daughter and granddaughters in N.J. The food is excellent, and the girls loved the atmosphere! So glad to hear about the children’s menu…at their age, they love to make their own choice of a meal, but the adult portions are too big.

I love P.F. Changs. They used to give out wiki sticks for kids to play with to entertain them while the adults talked. I also know of a few teacher friends who went in and asked if they would be willing to donate some to local schools, and they were always willing to.

We have never been to PF Chang’s. I didn’t realize that they had a children’s menu. My kids don’t think they can go anywhere that doesn’t offer chicken nuggets or chicken strips so PF Chang’s would qualify for a family night out.
