Wood-grilled fresh fish with spicy soy broth. Is your mouth watering yet? Mine is! And let me tell you, that dish is as good as it sounds!!!
Last month Red Lobster Senior Executive Chef Michael LaDuke, Iron Chef Michael Symon, and Bobby Flay challenged “The Next Food Network Star” contestants to develop a unique wood-frilled recipe using fresh fish species served at Red Lobster. The challenge focused on the finalists’ ability to develop a dish using the wood-fire grilling methods just like those used everyday by the certified Grill Masters at Red Lobsters nationwide.
The winner was Jeffrey Saad with his wood-grilled fresh fish with spicy soy broth. “Jeffrey’s dish was particularly impressive because it used bold flavors to enhance the delicious, natural flavor of wood-fire grilled fresh fish, without overwhelming it,” said Chef LaDuke. “It’s an innovative, fresh dish that I’m sure our guests will love.”
I couldn’t agree more with Chef LaDuke. I had the chance to try Saad’s Wood-Grilled Tilapia with Spicy Soy Broth and absolutely loved it!!!
If fish isn’t exactly your favorite dish then you may be interested in one of the many other wood-grilled dishes on the Red Lobster menu! But I would definitely suggest trying Jeff Saad’s dish before it leaves the Red Lobster menu on August 24th.

Red Lobster is our family’s first choice when dining out. They have something to satisfy everyone’s taste. We each like to order something different so we can share bites. We love the biscuits so in addition to the ones we have at the restaurant we get a bag to take home and have them for breakfast the following morning.

With today’s prices most of the fish selections (and seafood altogether) from our local grocery stores cost so much more than prime cuts of beef, chicken or pork that it’s become more of a ‘special occasion’ course… but it is a treat when ever we can enjoy it. And you wouldn’t guess the economy is struggling judging by the waiting lines at Red Lobster.
This would be a great way to take the family out for a really nice meal. We LOVE Red Lobster!

I haven’t been to Red Lobster in years. I love seafood, I just haven’t had the opportunity and the money to go. I would love to go again.
I was not happy with my last Red Lobster experience. The order came out wrong, the service was terrible, and they overcharged us on the bill. I actually left hungry since my order was never delivered correctly and by the time they were able to fix it, everyone else had already finished eating their meal. I was disgusted with the the whole thing. But….I would be willing to give it another shot should I win this. If not, you will not see me back there any time soon!

My oldest daughter loves Red Lobster and the only time she gets to eat there is when she makes the 1200 mile trip from Ohio to visit us here in florida as her husband and 2 boys don’t like seafood. The last time we visited she took me out to red lobster and she paid, I would like to treat her this time. I will leave my youngest kids at home and go. We always have a great mother daughter time. She really likes it when they have all the shrimp you can eat specials.

My husband LOVES Red Lobster. Adore is. He loves the cheddar bay biscuits and the great entrees. Only problem is that we never go because he married a woman who is deathly allergic to shellfish. Jeffrey should have won! His concept of introducing a new and unusal ingredient would so benefit many of us who have no idea how of the taste or how to use some of these ingredients.

I love Red Lobster’s surf and turf which is saying a lot cause I usually loath seafood.
I usually get the Salmon, but the Grilled Tilapia with Spicy Soy Broth sounds really good.
The seafood lover in me wants to win!
My favorite dinner menu item from Red Lobster is the Ultimate Feast – a tender split Maine lobster tail, steamed snow crab legs, garlic shrimp scampi and Walt’s favorite shrimp. And of course I can’t forget their chedder biscuits.

I love food Network, and Red Lobster. I work full time and go to school full time, but I still find time to cook great meals. I get many ideas from watching the food network on quick delicious meals. I also try to remake some of the recipes from Red Lobster such as chipotle honey fish. Yummo!!!

Yummy, Red Lobster! My kids love the cheddar biscuits, and I like the fact that they get applesauce and steamed veggies, instead of french fries
