Playtex Gloves Patio Party

Throwing a party for friends is fun, it really is. But let’s face it, it can also be overwhelming. This past weekend, a few of my closest friends came over for a patio party, sponsored by Playtex.

Now, I have three little ones who do a superb job at making many messes throughout my house, so the night before my party, I went into extreme cleaning mode. You know those times when you become a cleaning madwoman? Yes, that was me.

Thankfully Playtex sent me some of their gloves to try out. And let me tell you, with their gloves, I was armed and ready to tackle even the biggest cleaning projects, including a spare bathroom in my basement that hadn’t been used or cleaned in over a year.

Playtex GreatLengths Gloves

To tackle the bathroom, I used the Playtex GreatLengths gloves. These disposable gloves offer extra-long coverage of your wrists and arms, when compared to generic disposable gloves.

Made of nitrile, GreatLengths disposable gloves are more puncture-resistant than latex, keeping you protected from harsh chemicals, which when cleaning a bathroom is a major plus! They were comfortable and definitely strong.

Playtex Living Gloves

As I prepared some side dishes for the upcoming party, I used the Playtex Living gloves while cleaning up my pots and pans.

The boring yellow color has been replaced with a cheery violet, which I feel really does make cleaning just a bit more fun. I may be biased though, because I LOVE purple.

The best part about these gloves, is the patented Drip-Catch Cuff that keeps water from going inside the glove. My arms and hands remained dry.

The gloves also have anti-microbial protection to resist the growth of mold and mildew, which means my pair of gloves can last awhile.

Playtex CleanCuisine Gloves

The newest gloves that Playtex has introduced, are the Playtex CleanCuisine disposable gloves. Let me tell you how ingenious they are. They provide protection from food-borne bacteria and germs often associated with handling raw meat.

They are also perfect to use when cutting foods with strong odors, like onions, garlic and chili peppers. They keep your hands odor-free! Also made of nitrile, they are durable and more puncture-resistant than latex. Also perfect for those with latex allergies.

    Playtex makes useful and effective products. I’m especially intrigued by the Playtex CleanCuisine gloves. Now there’s an idea whose time has come. Many times I’ve chopped jalapenos and/or onions then touched my eyes to my regret. Those gloves would prevent that problem.

    I can’t even tell you how great these gloves would be – in fact, today I cleaned two bathrooms. My cheap gloves ripped and when I changed them, the second pair fell apart after about 15 minutes! Geez, like I said I can really use these gloves.

    Glad to hear I’m not the only one who like different gloves. I did a home test for some that were yellow, and one of the improvements I suggested was to make them in tie die or purple with green polka dots, or ANYTHING to make cleaning a little less boring.

    Oh wow, I hate getting my hands dirty so I would love a good pair of gloves! I even wear some when loading the dishwasher, I must confess, but they are the same ones I use for toilet cleaning since I only have the one old, gross pair.

    Like you said, throwing parties is always fun, but the clean up, now thats normally a chore.

    i am my household’s dish washer and my hand pay the price. the get very dry and peel alot. plus i live in wisconsin so its cold often and no amount of lotion will help. these would be great when i clean the bathroom or wash dishes :)

    Looked like it was a fun party! Love Playtex gloves for doing dishes-I handwash my dishes instead of using a dishwasher (better for conservation and saves energy).
