Shop in pretty much any clothing store for your infant or toddler these days, and you are sure to find aisles filled with “attitude-wear”. While some of those items are cute, with sayings like, “Daddy’s Girl”, and a little humorous with “Night-Owl” on a newborn’s onesie, I feel that some of the verbiage chosen to be plastered across a toddler’s chest, is a little much.
I have purchased a few of the more modest, less sarcastic, “attitude-tees” for my kiddos, as a way to express a bit of their personality. As a Christian, however, I also find it important to share my family’s faith in the same way. My children are answers to my prayers, little blessings. Why not tell the world? That is why I love Faith Baby.
Founded by Stephanie McGuire, a Christian wife and mother of three, Faith Baby offers an alternative to the recent trend of “attitude-wear” for babies by featuring positive messages of Christian faith on onesies, tees, pants and accessories with a stylish, modern sensibility.
After she lost her first baby in the sixth month of pregnancy in 2004, McGuire considered her son an answer to her prayers. “For many people, babies are a product of faith and a lot of prayer. I know when my son Joshua was born in 2006, he felt like my own ‘faith baby’, and I wished I had a little onesie or t-shirt to share my joy,” McGuire explained.
“I was inspired by him and my Christian background to start this business. My goal is to keep the designs simple and cute and to spread God’s blessings with uplifting messages.”
All of the messages on Faith Baby’s products, which include “Faith Baby,” “Mommy’s Answered Prayers,” “Not spoiled, blessed,” “All God’s grace in this tiny face,” “Jesus loves me and so does Daddy,” “I am a blessed baby” and others, are inspired by her kids and her life.

My son wears the “I am a Blessed Baby” onesie. Inspired by the Bible verse, Mark 10:16, this onesie lets me brag about my little blessing from the Lord.
Stephanie has even taken the time to add a little something to the tag of the onesie. The front of the tag has her logo as well as Faith Baby’s verse, “We live by faith, not by sight”, 2 Corinthians 5:7. On the back of the tag, Stephanie took the time to add, “Lord, Bless this child.” What warmth that gave me, to know that Stephanie takes the time to pray over the children that wear her clothing.
In fact Stephanie devotes time every day to pray for the children on her Faith Baby prayer chain. She also offers an opportunity on her Faith Baby site for her visitors to send a prayer request her way.
Her family takes its Christian faith seriously and McGuire feels truly blessed to be able to “outfit God’s smallest and most precious creations to help spread His love through faith-inspired clothing.”
