While I didn't have the incredible movie version that my six year old son gets to experience, I did have the old animated version. Susan and I had that movie memorized. Literally.

I loved Narnia as a child. I couldn't bring myself to watch the animated version because I didn't think it could measure up to the books. And (hangs head in shame) I haven't seen the new movies either!

I never read any of the Narnia books as a kid, I should read them now though because I enjoy the movies. We rented this last week and my 3 yr. old daughter just looooved it…watched it a few times before taking it back. She would love to win this!

When Narnia came out, I went and got the book and read it … I liked the book as it went into more detail; but still loved seeing the book come to life in the movie.

The books always tend to be better that the movies. They get your imagination flowing to the point it's like you're right there with your favorite characters going through everything they do. To be honest though I really like to see the book become a visual reality in the form of a movie. I believe the recent movies are the best. They are more vivid than the classics. I am a Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe lady! As a young girl, it was one of my favorite books — I still own the copy I read over 25 years ago! My daughter, on the other hand, isn't interested in the "old version." She is definitely a Narnia girl.

I read the first 4 books in the Chronicles of Narnia when I was a kid. I really liked the beginning of "The Magician's Nephew" and "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" because I always fantasized of finding a secret doorway into another world.

I would have to say I like the books best, then the new movies. I never saw the animated version.
