This year, Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday. This means that there will be longer wait times at some of our favorite restaurants, since so many will be out and about celebrating the night with their sweethearts.
That’s why on February 11th and 12th, Carrabba’s is offering consumers the ultimate pre-Valentine’s Day celebration, “Dal Cuore Nights,” meaning “From the Heart Nights” at Carrabba’s.
The Dal Cuore Nights celebration includes a Prix Fixe Menu (Less than $20 per person) and $10 off any bottle of wine, including Ruffino’s Dal Cuore di Carrabba wine, a limited-edition baby Super Tuscan created exclusively for Carrabba’s.
The prix fixe menu includes an appetizer, entreé and mini-dessert. Featured entreés include Carrabba’s favorites such as Sirloin Marsala, Chicken Bryan, Chicken Marsala, Polo Rosa Maria and Grilled Salmon with the sauce of the day.
Topping off the evening, guests on February 11 and 12 will receive a special Dal Cuore Valentine’s Day Card featuring a “heartfelt” quote. One lucky quote recipient will win a romantic Italian escape for two including 7 night cruise and airfare.
Beginning Sunday, March 1, 2009, the winning quote will be revealed on Carrabba’s website, where complete details are available.
As a mom of three, I know how hard it is to have a special night out with the hubby. I also know that a $50.00 dinner is sometimes something that we just can’t afford.
Perhaps for some of you, your Valentine’s Day plans consist of something a little more frugal, like cuddling on the couch with some popcorn and a movie rental.
But we have a little something that may cause you to change your plans. You see, one lucky reader is going to win a $50.00 gift card to Carrabba’s, hopefully to be used during their Dal Cuore Nights.
I happen to LOVE Italian food. My grandmother was an Italian immigrant, so I grew up enjoying authentic Italian cuisine. This means that I am pretty picky when it comes to Italian food and I LOVE Carrabba’s!!!
If you have never eaten at Carrabba’s before, you have been missing out. If you have, I am sure the menu items listed in their Prix Fixe menu, like the Chicken Bryan, left you salivating.

We love Carrabba’s. It’s usually in the top three of places we’ll go to eat. Our daughter loves their pizza. My husband loves the steak marsala. I like the pollo rosa maria and the daily specials. If money is tight, we’ll order spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs. It’s a ton of food, and I can usually get two lunches from my leftovers. We call that Carrabba’s on the cheap.

My husband and I have only been this restaurant once, and it took me years to get us there because we simply don’t have the opportunity to go out just the two of us to someplace real fancy all that often. This was such an awesome restaurant though. OMG I remember the food being devine. I can’t remember exactly what I had, but I think it might have been the chicken marsala.

My Daughter and her fiance took me to Carrabba’s once and I haven’t had a chance to go back. I loved their Chicken Marsala, it was wonderful and the Tiramisu was outstanding.

I was so excited to go to Carraba’s after so many people gave such good feedback, that when me and my husband finally went we were soo disappointed. I ordered fried calamari that was way too salty, and he ordered stuffed shells that wasn’t very appetizing.

Chicken Parmesan, yum! Served with their side salad. Finishing with their scrumptous Chocolate Dream dessert…if you have never had that it is devine! (It is a Kahula brownie topped with chocolate mousse, whipped cream and chocolate syrup).

It’s hard to say what I’d get because you never know what you’ll be hungry for. If I was there (menu in hand) right not I’d get the Filet Fiorentina. My wife would definately get the lasagne.
I’m pretty picky about Italian food because I worked in an Italian restaurant for 5 years when I was younger. Most Italian restaurants are awful. There are only 2 Italian restaurants in our town that I like. One is the Italian restaurant I used to work at and the other is Carrabba’s.

I love this place. It’s where we had our wedding dinner since we basically eloped and had to do something for the family. Everything there is good and I can’t ever make a choice, but I’m a lasagne girl at heart so I usually end up with that, and steal bites from my husband of whatever he gets.

This is a hard choice cause everything is so good! I love the Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs. You have enough serving to carry over for lunch the next day. YUMMY!

Guess I’ve been missing out…unfortunately, we’ve never eaten at Carrabbas. There is one about 80 miles from us, but every time we go to Savannah, GA we just never have time to eat at Carrabbas…BUT…If I win, we will make time to go to Savannah and enjoy a special night out…just me and hubby (and none of our four children…they can have pizza). Since I don’t have a favorite yet, I checked out their website and even though it’s soooo hard to pick just one item, I think I’d try the Chicken & Spinach Cannelloni…YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM

In all honesty we haven’t eaten there often enough to truly critique the full menu; nevertheless, during our last visit I ordered the Pasta Carrabba and found it both delicious and filling. I’v never ate at Carrabba’s and a few years back they built one here just always thought they were expensive and now realized their prices aren’t too bad. Spiedino di Mare (shrimp and sea scallops coated with Italian breadcrumbs, grilled and topped with lemon butter sauce) has to be my favorite.
I order it every second time. It’s the freshness of the shrimp and sea scallops combined with the lemon butter sauce that win my taste buds!
I love Carrabba’s! It’s so hard to choose a favorite, but I order Chicken Marsala the most, so I guess thats it. Their bread and dipping oil is soo good!

Insalata Johnny Rocca, I think that’s what its called. The one with the shellfish.
Love the fried zucchini sticks (like french fries only zucchini) – delicious – very thin and crispy. Then, the chicken marsala – yum. Like the open grill so you can see the meal actually prepared.
I’m happy with a big plate of plain old spagetti
and meatballs….

I love Italian food and love the idea that they’re offering an option before Valentine’s Day.
OMG! My husband and I LOVE this place. We always get the mussels as a starter. My favorite is the Veal Picatta but I also like the pasta dish with seafood. Yum!
